TAZEWELL – A 62-year-old Cedar Bluff man died in a single vehicle accident near Crab Orchard Museum Dec. 16.
Sgt. Michael Conroy of the Virginia State Police said Roger Leeman Dye was operating a 2001 Dodge pickup on Route 16A one mile north of route 19-460 when he lost control of the vehicle. Dye’s vehicle went off the road to the right and he apparently overcorrected and went off the road to the left.
The truck then went up an embankment and overturned and Dye was ejected from the vehicle. Conroy said Dye was not wearing a seat belt. He was taken by Tazewell County Rescue Squad to Tazewell Community Hospital where he died later that afternoon.
