THOMPSON VALLEY – Sheriff’s deputies are seeking information and suspects after a man was found injured in his home Nov. 16.
Major Chris Boyd said a family member found a man lying on the floor of his home in the Pleasant Hill Church section of the community, barely conscious. Boyd said the man had been beaten and authorities were not sure what he was struck with.
He did confirm a bed post was found near the victim, Boyd said the name of the victim was not being released because authorities had been unable to locate his father. Tazewell County Fire and Rescue transported the victim to Thompson Valley Community Center where he was picked up by Wings Air Rescue and taken to Holston Valley Medical Center.
His condition was unknown at press time. Deputy Mike White is handling the investigation.
