School receives bomb threat

Students at Floyd County High School were evacuated from the school's buildings this morning at about 11:00.
The rescue squad is directing traffic, and the road to the high school has been blocked off.
The school division notified parents by Instant Alert that students had been evacuated due to a bomb threat at the high school and that students would be able to return to the school by approximately 1:15 p.m.
At 12:50 parents were notified through Instant Alert that the high school had been "cleared and is now safe" and all students had returned to classes.
