The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Wednesday morning mobile home fire that killed a man in Abingdon.
Sheriff Fred Newman said firefighters from Washington County Fire and Rescue No. 1 and Abingdon Fire Department answered the 4:47 a.m. call for fire at 17206 Capella Lane, Abingdon.
“The body of the male victim has yet to be identified due to the extent of the severe burns to the body. Dental records are being sought and will be utilized to assist in the identification of the body.” Newman said.
