RICHLANDS – A 73-year-old Gray’s Branch resident died as a result of an ATV accident March 17.
Captain Mike Shawver of the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office said the call came in around seven p.m. and Richlands Fire and Rescue was dispatched along with Deputy Jonathan Hankins. Albert Junior horn of 860 Gray’s Branch Road had gone to round up cattle and family members became concerned when he did not return.
Shawver said the relatives went to look for Horn and discovered that the fourwheeler had overturned on him. Rescue workers took Horn to Clinch Valley Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. The body has been sent to the medical examiners office for an autopsy.
