The Tazewell County Grand Jury met Jan. 3 and the Commonwealth presented a total of 113 indictments on 104 individuals with 79 individuals residing in Tazewell County, Virginia and 25 individuals residing outside of Tazewell County. Of the 25 individuals residing outside of Tazewell County, 20 reside in West Virginia. Of the 104 individuals indicted, 70 were men and 34 were women. The Grand Jurors returned 112 True Bills and one (1) No True Bill for a total of 380 counts. Fifty-one (51) indictments were originally sealed pending arrest.
