Lady Trojans Defeat Lebanon

After suffering a 5-0 loss to Virginia High this week the Lady Trojans went on to win against Lebanon 4-3. The Pinoneers led 3-0 after the fourth inning but the Lady Trojans came back in the end, scoring four runs in the bottom of the seventh to steal the win. The Lady Trojans are now 10-2 overall for the season and 3-1 in the Clinch Mountain District. Battle will play in Gate City tonight with the first pitch set for 7 p.m.

Lebanon Stats-
Katie Davis, Brittni Altmann, Tristan Blevins and Kaci Fuller all scored for the Trojans.
Brooke Rutherford had two RBI’s, Tristan Blevins also with an RBI.
Sarah Weaver stayed strong on defense with 10 put outs and one assist.
Kara Rutherford pitched for six innings striking out 2 and allowed 12 hits out of 29 batters faced. Abby Hensley pitched one inning facing two batters- no strike outs, no hits and no runs.
