Rural Retreat wins wrestling tourney

The Rural Retreat wrestling team won the Northwood Invitational Wrestling Tournament that was held Saturday at Northwood High School.

Rural Retreat has several wrestlers that won their respective weight classes: Ty Boyd, T.J. Mitchell, Travis Anderson, Cory Williams and Derek Yates all took home medals in their divisions. Several other wrestlers from RR also placed in the top four.

The final team scores were: Rural Retreat, 197; Radford, 166.5; Richlands, 148; Chilhowie, 129; Castlewood, 125.5; Marion, 113; Northwood, 60; Fort Chiswell, 12; Patrick Henry, 6.
